The container above is currently used as a catch-all container by my cousin Karen. It holds scissors, pens, markers, and more within easy reach in her kitchen in Florida. She recently told me a story about this container.
Karen recalls that sometimes, while staying at her grandparents' farm home, her grandmother, Edna, would send her with the container to the barn. There, grandfather Jesse was milking the cows. Her task was to retrieve some fresh milk for dinner and bring it back in this container (that holds about three cups).
