Note that each of these writings were created by someone else (see next heading). My role was to first transcribe it, next to add links to people or places, and then to add corrections or clarifications [within brackets].
Keep in mind that mom's travel diaries were written, most likely, while someone else was driving or late at night. She was not striving for perfect grammar or spelling, but she still did well. As I edit these, I use [brackets] to clarify a spelling, add a missing detail that may be useful or add some other comment. Note that when perhaps interesting or useful, I also add web links to places or events or people.
