Jesse E. Hibbard, 87, Route 1, died Saturday at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids, with the Rev. Landelin Robling Officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Mr. Hibbard was born Aug. 16, 1893, in Haven Township, Sherburne County, to the late Howard and Rose (Doran) Hibbard. He married Edna Westphal September 1918 in St. Paul and farmed in Haven Township all his life. He was a past Sherburne County chairman for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, Haven Township Justice of the Peace a number of years, member of World War I Barracks 668 and St. Augustine's Parish and served with the U.S. Army during World War I.

Survivors include daughter and son, Mrs. Frank (Sylvia) Kubes, St. Louis Park; Edmund, St. Cloud; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jan. 9, 1960, one daughter, Patricia Volkenant, two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be grandsons; Wallace Erickson and Keith, Kenneth, Allen, Louis and Bruce Hibbard.
